Harvest is a one-of-a-kind local food experience. Seasonal menus showcase the diversity of the Byron Bay region with fresh produce sourced from small, specialised farmers. Foraging food from their own edible gardens, the native and wild Australian ingredients feature in their signature dishes. In the hinterland village of Newrybar, Harvest is an award winning, hatted restaurant. The wine list features small, conscientious wine-makers and lesser-known Australian varietals. A private dining room is available on request for an intimate and luxurious fine dining experience in a truly unique setting. Bespoke menus can be created for up to 8 guests. Three Blue Ducks, The Farm

11 Ewingsdale Road, Ewingsdale

Set on a picturesque 80-acre working farm and macadamia orchard, on the fringe of Byron Bay, Three Blue Ducks’ dining space is rustic but comfortable. The undercover outdoor patio offers sweeping views from Byron’s hinterland in the west, north to Mt Wollumbin and east to Cape Byron Lighthouse. As much produce as possible is sourced directly from The Farm and delivered to the table in honest, seasonal dishes packed with nutrients and full of flavour. A double spit, wood fire pizza oven and Argentinian grill fires up on weekends and private events. The bar offers 56 taps of all Australian craft beers, wines and ciders and a selection of unique cocktails to cater to all tastes. The wide open spaces are great for letting the kids run and play a little while you relax with friends and a cool drink. Targa

Modern European dishes sourced from regional Byron produce. Influenced by Spanish, French and Portuguese flavours, as well as their Italian specialities, Targa offers fine food in a comfortable, casual and relaxed space. The house rolled gnocchi is legendary among regulars. Afternoon antipasto and share plates. Early evening cocktails, then linger for dinner. A modern Japanese Australian fusion café. Head inland to the scenic hinterland village of Federal and drop into Doma for an exciting take on authentic Japanese cuisine. Old wooden benches and shared garden tables fit well with the rustic hillside village, but the elegance of the food and creativity of the menu are a stand out. There’s a small traditional style Japanese doma room inside.
